Job Description

A freight forwarder is a logistics expert in the field of goods transportation. They are often referred to as the "architect of transportation." The role involves maintaining good contact with customers, port authorities, shipping companies, transport companies, and customs agents. In this position, you will be responsible for arranging transport for both imports and exports by road, sea, or air. You will also handle the required documentation and administrative processes. You are familiar with Incoterms and are proficient in Dutch, English, and German and/or French.

This position requires a positive attitude, a no-nonsense approach, and a willingness to further develop yourself.

To qualify for the position of freight forwarder, it is essential that you have completed a relevant MBO education (Level 3 or 4). Additionally, you:

• Ensure that policies and procedures are adhered to in daily operations

• Handle export documentation and transportation

• Have strong analytical skills

• Possess problem-solving abilities

• Are proactive

• Have excellent communication skills

• Negotiate and register freight rates with carriers

• Resolve questions regarding sales invoices

• Approve incoming invoices
