Forkliftcenter Supports Grimaldi Group with Special-Built Konecranes Forklifts
Forkliftcenter has secured a new order from the Grimaldi Group in Naples, Italy, further strengthening a trusted partnership that has grown for more than a decade. This order includes 11 specially built Konecranes 42-1200C forklifts and 5 Konecranes 12-600C forklifts, scheduled for delivery over two years. The machines will be deployed on board Grimaldi’s new conro vessels.
Compact Design for Demanding Environments
The 42-1200C forklifts were designed with unique specifications: a shorter wheelbase, narrow drive axle, and duplex free lift mast. These modifications ensure greater manoeuvrability in confined onboard spaces, helping crews operate safely and efficiently in challenging conditions.
All forklifts are powered by Stage V diesel engines, aligning with today’s eco-efficiency standards while delivering reliable performance in heavy-duty operations.
A Proven Partnership
This latest order is part of a long-standing relationship between Forkliftcenter, Konecranes, and Grimaldi.
- In 2015, Grimaldi received a fleet of custom-made forklifts from Forkliftcenter and Konecranes, designed for onboard use with reduced height and special spreader attachments.
- In 2023, the partnership expanded again with an order of 59 machines, ranging from converted Bobcat skid-steer loaders used as car pushers to heavy forklifts with integrated rotators and a mix of Toyota and Yale forklifts. This deal also included a comprehensive global maintenance agreement, underlining the trust in Forkliftcenter’s service network.
The 2025 deliveries mark yet another chapter in this collaboration, reinforcing the confidence that Grimaldi places in Forkliftcenter and Konecranes for tailor-made, reliable heavy equipment.
